The Script

After coming up with the idea for the video and fleshing it out fully, the first thing we did was start writing the script. We use Celtx, an awesome (and free) scriptwriting program that connects to the cloud.

We started hammering out the script, coming up with the Ashley's dialogue. We wanted her to pretty much be the stereotypical, prissy and dense popular girl / cheerleader. It's obvious right form the start about how she feels about nerds like Calvin.

We initially wrote out a sort of dialogue outline, writing down what each character said and the actions that accompanied it, but it was pretty bland. Once we had that done and had a good idea of what was going on in the script, we went back and started putting in the actual character of of the dialogue, fleshing it out so that Ashley and Calvin's personalities shown through.

One thing we tried to keep in mind is that we want the video to have some pretty humorous moments. We worked in a few funny momements that play off of Calvin's and Ashley's personalities, as well as the fact that it is porn. We're pretty happy with what we ended up with.

At the moment, the script is more or less finished. We keep going back and altering things now and then, but we've got enough done to start moving ahead with the video. Just remember, establish the story first as well as the major actions and then get into the script.

The Idea

Mr. X:
So, Mr. E and I have a google docs file that we've filled up with ideas. Whenever either one of us comes up with an idea we think would make for a good video, we head right over to the doc and write it down. At the moment, we have over 100 ideas for videos written down (I counted).

The doc did start with only one idea, though. It is the video we're currently working on, and Sublevel H's first project, tentatively titled The Deal.

I had wanted to do something with a cheerleader and a nerd from the get go, so that was what we started with. From there, we quickly flushed out the idea, creating the two characters and a base storyline.

Mr. E:   

Collaboration - When either of us has a basic idea, we then take it to the other starting a chain of collaboration. We bounce ideas off of each other to further detail the story, characters and environment until we feel that the story and idea is as fleshed out as we'd like it to be. While one person may have a great idea, the other will more often then not, make that same idea even better.

Mr. X:

Ashley - Ashley is your stereotypical popular girl / cheerleader. However, she doesn't quite have the smarts to maintain good grades in all of her classes, and the school is threatening to take her off the cheer leading squad if she doesn't get her grades up. Normally she would just bend over for the teacher and be done with it, but the math teacher has been stubbornly moral. So, Ashley hatched a plan to get the class nerd to do her homework for her. 

Calvin - Calvin is a nerd in the truest sense of the word. He's great at school, loves sci-fi and fantasy, is the teachers pet, and he's a virgin. He's always had a small sort of crush on Ashley, even though she treated him as if he didn't exist. So when she offers to let him take a peak at her breasts in return for doing some of her homework, he jumps at the chance. After seeing how desperate she was to have him do her homework, Calvin  realizes he could get a lot more than just a peak at her breasts if he wanted. Threatening not to do her homework and to tell the teacher, Calvin soon has Ashley bent over his bed as he slips inside a girl for the first time.

Mr. E:

Location - After deciding upon the fundamental characteristics and personality traits we then needed to choose the local for their first eventful encounter. We went from the school grounds, to Ashley's home before we figured that the best location, at least in this case, would be Calvin's bedroom. From Calvin's room, we can further allow the audience to understand exactly how stereotypically nerdy Calvin truly is. We then get to see Ashley's stance on being in a nerds room.

Atmosphere / Staging - From these elements we then move into what we want the atmosphere and staging to feel like. In most cases we generally go with comedic atmospheres, pulling from the environments and the characters to produce our jokes for us. With Calvin's general nerd character and Ashley's dumb blonde vibe, along with the atmosphere of Calvin's room, there was plenty for us to produce dialogue off of. 

Mr. X:
We wrote down everything into a document on Google docs. We kept writing and rewriting until we came up with the above. Once that was done, the next step was to actually get a script written, but that's another post.

Now, just because we've come up with lots of ideas by ourselves doesn't mean that we aren't looking for more. If you guys have any ideas that you think would make great videos, send them to us and if we like it we might actually turn them into a video. No promises though.

The Beginning

Greetings, I'm Mr. X and I want to welcome you to Sublevel H.

Mr. E and I are a couple of 3D artists that have decided to venture into the realm of 3D porn.

Now, there is a ton of okay animated 3DX content out there, but it's just okay. We want to create stuff that is simply stunning, from both a porn standpoint and a visual one. Groups like 3DGSpot and Japanese circles like Ebimaru, among others, really inspired us.

At Sublevel H, we believe that just because it's porn doesn't mean that it can't be Hollywood quality. That's what we are striving to create. We want to give you some porn that you can enjoy for its story and quality, and not just for the fact that it's porn

This blog is to catalog our process, and show you guys what we're going through to create everything. We'll show you progress shots and explain some of the stuff we're doing. We'll be dabbling in areas of 3D we aren't too familiar with, such as dynamics and whatnot, in order to create the best possible work that we can, so you can be sure to see a lot of experiments. Jiggle is pretty important, after all.
